Community Liaison Co-Ordinator

The Community Liaison Co-Ordinator will be responsible for effective engagement and liaison with the residential communities of Chester, Warrington and Birkenhead, working closely with colleagues across the University campuses, as well as maintaining productive relationships with key external stakeholders and statutory partners.

This post has become integral to supporting the increasing demands placed upon Student Support Services in fostering and maintaining positive community relations in all areas where students reside. A key expectation of the role is to take a proactive approach to community liaison activities, developing and maintaining strong partnerships with Cheshire West and Chester Council, landlords, emergency services, local residents' groups, and students. Supporting the successful transition of Level 5 students into private sector accommodation and promoting responsible citizenship and community-focused behaviours will be a central element of the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
