Job Title: Community Liaison Officer
Reporting to: Project Director
Department: BU ASTI – Emmock Project

Purpose of the Role
The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) is responsible for building and maintaining positive, transparent, and proactive relationships between Omexom and local communities affected by its energy and infrastructure projects. The role supports the company’s mission to deliver essential services in a way that respects local needs, fosters trust, and upholds social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Community Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for local communities, community leaders, schools, NGOs, and local authorities.
- Organise and lead community meetings, site visits, information sessions, and stakeholder consultations.
- Identify potential concerns or opposition early and help address them constructively.
🔹 Communication & Transparency
- Prepare clear and accessible communications (letters, newsletters, posters, and social media updates) regarding project progress, activities, and potential impacts.
- Support crisis communication and issue management if necessary.
- Maintain a log of community queries, feedback, and actions taken.

🔹 CSR and Local Inclusion
- Support implementation of local employment and social value initiatives, including volunteering, educational partnerships, and sponsorships.

🔹 Internal Liaison
- Provide project teams with insights into community sentiment and risks.
- Brief internal stakeholders on engagement plans and public feedback.
- Collaborate with HSE, Communications, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between project activities and community interests.

Qualifications & Experience
