Role Description
The Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for leading and coordinating community-focused programmes and activities. In this role, you will plan, organize, and deliver events, workshops, and initiatives that engage children, young people, and local residents. You will build and maintain relationships with schools, families, volunteers, and partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The Community Manager will oversee day-to-day operations within community spaces, manage schedules and resources, and monitor participation and feedback to improve programme quality. You will also support outreach and promotion, contribute to fundraising and reporting, and ensure that all activities align with the association’s mission and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

- Experience in community management, youth engagement, or social impact programmes, with strong skills in relationship-building and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in organizing events and activities, including planning, scheduling, logistics, and on-the-ground delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups, facilitate discussions, and present information clearly.
- Skills in basic data collection, monitoring, and reporting to track outcomes and inform programme improvements.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and working with children and young people in a community or educational setting.
- Ability to work on-site in London, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within a small, mission-driven team.
- Relevant experience in the charity, education, youth work, or community sector; a related qualification or degree is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (email, calendars, office software, social media) to support communication and outreach.
