About H.O.M.E
H.O.M.E (House of Music and Entertainment) is a home for the independent music and music-tech industry: a community, a network and a space where people across the industry come together to work. Connecting our members with each other is central to what we do, opening up opportunities to collaborate, share knowledge, and find the clients, tools and support to grow their businesses. Alongside our workspace we run a programme of events. We have sites in London, Berlin and Tokyo, and this role is at our new Liverpool hub. Backed by BSI Merch & Artist Services, we combine the feel of an independent community with the support of an established industry partner.
The role
The H.O.M.E Hub at The Courtyard is our first expansion in the UK, and our temporary home while we establish the brand in the region. As we grow, we plan to move to a more permanent site in the city – and the person in this role would grow with it.
This is the lead role on the ground in Liverpool. You would run the day-to-day of the space, be the welcoming face of the hub for our members and visitors, and keep everything operating smoothly from opening through to close. You'd have real ownership of the site day-to-day. The General Manager supports the role from London and is available when you need input or a decision, but as the person on the ground you'll be running things independently and using your judgement on when to escalate. It would suit someone who enjoys being the person who makes a place work, is comfortable using their initiative, and wants to help build something from the ground up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Where projects need extra hands or specialist input – larger events, bigger campaigns – we can also draw on support from our parent company, BSI Merch & Artist Services.
What the role covers
- Operations and hosting: The day-to-day running of the space: opening up and getting the hub ready for the day, keeping it a welcoming and well-presented environment, handling drop-in enquiries, deliveries, stock and supplier liaison, and managing meeting-room and venue-hire bookings. You're the person who makes sure the space simply works.
- Members and community: Community is at the heart of H.O.M.E. You'd be a regular, personable presence in the space – getting to know our members, understanding what they work on, and helping make connections across the community. If you have a network of your own to bring in, all the better, but the day-to-day is about looking after the people in the space and making the hub somewhere people want to be.
- Health, safety and compliance: Keeping the site safe, compliant and well-run – including day-to-day health and safety, and helping ensure the venue operates in line with its premises licence. Ongoing checks and good record-keeping are part of the routine of the role.
- Events: H.O.M.E runs events, and the Liverpool programme will build over time. You'd support the setup, hosting and delivery of events at the hub, taking on more as the schedule develops.
- Admin: Day-to-day admin to keep the site running – handling invoices, expenses and receipts, and keeping things organised.

Where it can go
This is a role for someone who wants to put down roots and grow with us. We're looking for someone to provide stability and get the hub firmly established through its first year. As the Liverpool hub grows and moves toward its permanent home, this role is expected to grow into a General Manager position – leading the site as it steps up. For the right person, there is real scope here to grow as the company does.
