NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC)
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse to join the Adult Community Mental Health Team within Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership. This is an integrated multidisciplinary service providing comprehensive care to individuals with complex mental health needs, as well as support for their families and carers across the Inverclyde area. The Community Response Service forms part of the team, providing urgent assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing mental health crises, and you may be required to support or rotate into this service in line with service needs. You will manage your own caseload, work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and be responsible for organising and facilitating Depot, Clozapine, Lithium and Physical Health and Wellbeing clinics. You will also maintain high clinical and professional standards, contribute to governance within the service, supervise support staff where appropriate, and actively participate in continuing professional development.
You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
This is a part-time permanent post working 18 hours per week. You will be based within the Community Mental Health Team, Crown House, 30 King Street, Greenock, PA15 1NL. The service operates between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, with the shift pattern to be confirmed. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application, but your answers must be your own.
Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically. Use AI wisely: It’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers. Why this matters: Applications that rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.
