Nurse - Eating Disorder Advanced Intervention Team (EDAIT) in Fife
We are seeking a nurse to join the Eating Disorder Advanced Intervention Team (EDAIT) in Fife. The team is a tertiary service for adults with an eating disorder whose needs cannot be met by the secondary mental health teams. The team links with the Regional Eating Disorder Unit at St John’s Hospital in Livingston and supports the local community mental health teams.
EDAIT is a multi-professional service, with a Team lead, Charge Nurse, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychology and psychology assistant as well as a Specialist Dietitian and Dietetic Assistant. The post holder will work closely with the other team members to deliver a safe, evidence-based service to adults in the community. They will provide advanced interventions to patients and there is also a requirement to interpret and monitor the physical health needs of the patient group.
This is an exciting time to join EDAIT as we develop the service. As well as managing a complex caseload, the post holder will also contribute to the development of the service, collaborating with wider stakeholders in NHS Fife, with other eating disorder services in the UK and third sector partners.

Requirements
Applications are invited from Registered Mental Health Nurses (MHN) with an interest in eating disorders and a sound knowledge of general mental health. You will have experience of team working, problem solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders. You should also have the necessary experience to work as an autonomous practitioner in the community with a complex caseload.
You will receive a comprehensive induction as well as ongoing training, supervision, and support to develop and progress in the specialty.
