The Norwich City Community Mental Health Team
The Norwich City Community Mental Health Team provides patient-centred and compassionate care to people with moderate to severe mental illness. Based at the Julian Hospital in Norwich, we are looking for 2 caring and motivated Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses.
About Us
We are a team that prides itself on its teamwork and we value working together to meet the needs of service users. We work closely with psychology, psychiatry, and staff from occupational health and Social Work and work hard to provide the opportunity to learn from each other.
The Role
As a band 5 qualified mental health nurse within the team, you would work with a defined and planned number of service users with moderate to severe mental illness who require care coordination. You would have opportunities to develop assessment skills, the direct provision of interventions, and medicines management. We also have an opportunity for a defined depot and physical health nursing role overseeing the day-to-day running of our community teams depot clinic.

What We Offer
- Development: You can expect to be supported in developing your skills and confidence in the band 5 role, with a minimum of two-week local induction.
- Training: We fully support staff to participate in the Trust's preceptorship program for newly registered nurses.
- Personalized Development Plan: You would have a development plan, personalized to your experience, strengths, and identified development needs.
- Supportive Environment: We host regular reflective practice sessions, training days, clinical, and management supervision.
- Work Schedule: We work Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
