Band 6 Community Midwife - Fixed Term 12 months, various hours available.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 6 NMC Registered Midwives to join our community midwifery team.
About Our Team
Our community midwifery services strive to provide high standards of evidenced-based, personalised care from hospital and community bases across Tameside and Glossop.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic midwives with a flexible approach to work, who can work autonomously and within a Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide safe and effective care across the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.

- Confident and knowledgeable with excellent interpersonal and clinical skills
- Fulfil the requirements of the role
- Advocate and provide holistic, individualised care and advice to meet the needs of individuals
- Work within guidelines and pathways
- Exercise professionalism, initiative, and sound clinical judgement
- Appropriately refer to and work alongside our MDT and partner agencies

Qualifications and Experience
The post is for a Band 6 Midwife with post-qualification NHS experience to work in the community and intrapartum settings. The intrapartum care will be provided through an on-call basis to support the homebirth service.
