Community Midwife for Equitable Health

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Community Midwife for Equitable Health to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of women and birthing people who experience additional vulnerabilities and barriers to accessing maternity care.

Our ambition is to address health inequalities through targeted Community Midwifery support, ensuring that every woman and birthing person receives personalised, accessible and inclusive care throughout their pregnancy and postnatal journey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined caseload of women and birthing people with complex social, safeguarding and health needs, including those seeking asylum, women in prison, teenage parents, those affected by substance misuse, and individuals requiring enhanced support.
  • Build trusting relationships and work proactively to promote engagement with maternity services, ensuring women and families receive the right care, at the right time, from the right professionals.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care, coordinating support throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period to improve outcomes for women, babies and families.
  • Work closely with the Named Midwife for Safeguarding, Perinatal Mental Health Team, Health Visitors, Social Workers, Obstetricians and wider multidisciplinary teams to ensure joined-up care and effective information sharing.
  • Identify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately, communicating and documenting complex and sensitive information in line with local and national guidance.
  • Champion equity, inclusion and personalised care, supporting the implementation of initiatives and tools designed to address maternity disadvantage and reduce health inequalities.
  • Work autonomously within local policies, national guidance and the NMC Code, using professional judgement to support women with complex and often challenging circumstances.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
