About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Community Learning Disability Team in North Tyneside. Our team is a large, well-established, and supportive multi-disciplinary team offering holistic health care to children and adults who have a learning disability living in North Tyneside.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of National and Local Policies relating to people with learning disabilities, experience of working with people who present with challenging behaviour, as well as experience of working within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework and the ability to work effectively with children and their families/carers.
Responsibilities
- Join our already well-established children's workstream to carry out ADHD assessments for children who have a learning disability.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and carry out ADHD diagnostic assessments for children who have a learning disability, with appropriate training available to the successful applicant.
- Learn about the wider roles and responsibilities of the Community Learning Disability team and support the Duty system.
- Undertake service development projects.
- Provide support, training, and supervision to others.
