Community Engagement Manager
Salary: £40,592–£43,786 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Glasgow
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with the opportunity to work from home for part of the week
Contract: Full-time, 35 hours per week; fixed term until 31 March 2027, with possible extension to 31 March 2028 subject to funding

Overview
Our client, an established Scottish health and social care charity, is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of a community engagement plan focused on infection prevention and control and antimicrobial resistance.
The role will ensure that people with lived experience are meaningfully and effectively involved in shaping relevant policy and practice across Scotland. The successful candidate will manage the engagement strategy for this programme and work within a third-sector environment to support inclusive, evidence-informed approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of a community engagement plan.
- Develop and implement an engagement strategy relating to infection prevention and control and antimicrobial resistance.
- Ensure that people with lived experience are meaningfully and effectively involved throughout the programme.
- Support engagement activity that informs Scotland’s approaches to relevant health policy and practice.
- Manage the delivery of this programme of work within the agreed fixed-term period.

Requirements
- A proactive, self-starting approach to work.
- An understanding of the third sector.
- An interest in infection prevention and control, antimicrobial resistance or the related policy environment.
- Ability to lead, drive and manage the development and delivery of a community engagement plan.
- PVG Scheme membership, which is required for this post.
