Role: Community Partner

Location: Edinburgh

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 22.5 hours a week

About The Role

As a Community Partner, this role acts as a vital link between CHEC and the communities we serve. The role focuses on building strong, lasting connections with local healthcare providers and organisations, while driving outreach that makes a genuine difference for populations.

Alongside strengthening community ties, the role also supports the growth and visibility of CHEC’s private service, Clarity. Helping to expand our presence in the private healthcare sector and bring our high-quality care to more patients.

Every connection made helps expand our reach, improve patient experiences, and ensure our services truly reflect the needs and voices of local communities.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Can

  • Drive the regional partnership and business development strategy, building influential relationships with healthcare providers, consultants, GP practices, corporate organisations, insurers, and key community stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives that increase awareness, referrals, and uptake of Clarity's private healthcare services across the region.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for private healthcare growth, expanding market share and supporting commercial objectives.
  • Act as a regional ambassador for CHEC and Clarity, representing the organisation at networking events, healthcare forums, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop and deliver engagement campaigns that enhance brand visibility and strengthen relationships with referral partners and patient communities.
  • Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to ensure a seamless patient journey and exceptional patient experience from referral through to treatment.
  • Monitor regional performance, referral trends, and engagement activity, using data and insights to inform strategy and maximise return on investment.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are focused on activities that drive growth, patient acquisition, and long-term partnership value.
  • Support service innovation by identifying emerging market opportunities, patient needs, and trends within the private healthcare landscape.
  • Build strategic partnerships that strengthen CHEC's reputation, increase patient access to high-quality care, and support the ongoing success of Clarity.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in partnership development, community engagement, or healthcare outreach with regional responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of NHS processes, commissioning, and local health priorities.
  • Track record of building and maintaining trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful community or healthcare programmes.
  • Commercial acumen and experience supporting business growth.
  • Budget management skills to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Ability to use data to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Passion for improving healthcare access, equity, and community outcomes.
