Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy branch in Braintree, Essex CM7 1TX. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, overseeing our range of NHS and private pharmacy services, managing and developing your team, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role calls for strong leadership skills, solid community pharmacy experience, and a genuine commitment to excellent patient service.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (Dispensing), or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience working in UK community pharmacy
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of medication dispensing and administration practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Desirable

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience delivering pharmacy services such as Blood Pressure Checks, NHS Contraception Service, Pharmacy First, or flu/travel vaccinations
  • Experience using Titan PMR system
  • Previous experience managing a pharmacy branch or team

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily branch operations, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to company policies
  • Oversee delivery of pharmacy services, including Blood Pressure Checks, Pharmacy First, NHS Contraception Service, vaccinations, and other clinical services offered by the branch
  • Manage and support the branch team, including pharmacy technicians and dispensers, to maintain high standards of patient care and medication safety
  • Maintain accurate dispensing records and ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Identify and implement improvements to branch performance, service uptake, and patient satisfaction
  • Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support positive patient outcomes
  • Monitor stock levels and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent availability of medicines and supplies
  • Handle patient queries and complaints promptly, professionally, and with empathy

Salary

Starting from £15.00 per hour - dependant on experience and industry-related qualifications i.e. MCA, NVQ2, ACD, PTTP, ACT
