Overview
Called to lead, pioneer and equip others?
We are looking for a compassionate, courageous and creative Community Pioneer Director to join Springfield Church, Wallington. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and lead a new worshipping community within our estate context, equip and develop lay leaders, and support estate partner churches to grow pioneering communities through our ‘SPRING’ programme.
This part-time (0.5, possible term-time only option) 4-year role is ideal for someone who carries both the heart of a pastor and the instinct of a pioneer — someone who is prayerful, grounded in scripture and the life of the Church, and able to lead in uncertain and evolving contexts. You will join a dynamic and supportive team at a significant moment in our pioneering journey, helping shape both the culture and future of this work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
