Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Team within the Community Treatment Team. This post offers a dynamic and rewarding mix of community and hospital in-reach responsibilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care.
In this role, you will provide care coordination and nursing support to service users with complex mental health needs across both community and inpatient settings. You’ll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth transitions between hospital and community care, attending Mental Health Act tribunals, preparing professional reports, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care coordination and nursing support to service users with complex mental health needs across both community and inpatient settings.
- Ensure smooth transitions between hospital and community care.
- Attend Mental Health Act tribunals and professionals’ meetings as required.
- Prepare formal clinical reports for tribunals.
- Work collaboratively with inpatient teams to facilitate discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Provide support and input during mental health crises and implement robust risk management plans.
- Mentor and support junior staff, students, and colleagues.
- Liaise effectively with GPs, social workers, carers, and other service.

- Be clinically experienced, solution-focused, and competent in working with individuals, their families, and carers in a community setting.
- Have a collaborative and enthusiastic approach.
- Demonstrate passion and commitment to develop and promote recovery-based interventions for adults with mental health-related needs.
