An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Practitioner, with an interest in the Children and Young People’s PBS Clinical Pathway within CNTW.
This specialist support team develops Young People’s resilience and recovery, when they may be at risk of hospital admission.
The team offers both an Autism and Learning Disability Pathway, utilising life world models and trauma informed care.
This 12 month secondment is to cover a maternity leave within the service.
This post holder will support the young person, their family, and staff supporting them through the development and implementation of a Positive Behavioural Support plan assisting in more integrated care and treatment with their community pathway.
A high level of professional support and continuing professional development can be provided by this post being part of the IPBS team. The post will be carried out with a level of appropriate autonomy as a Community Practitioner, with clinical supervision provided. It is envisaged this part of the role will involve some support into inpatient services, working closely with the clinical team involved in the young people’s care and delivery of the PBS plan.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
