Fixed-term, project-funded position
The John White Community Centre is based in Binley, Coventry. We provide welcoming spaces, activities and services that support local and wider communities through social, health, wellbeing and educational opportunities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Community Project Co-ordinator to continue developing and delivering an established community project. The successful candidate will be confident managing their own workload and communicating with a wide range of community organisations, charities, health professionals and local residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver project plans, activities and timelines within the agreed budget.
- Plan, organise and run groups and activities at the community centre in response to identified local needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, health professionals, local organisations, charities and other stakeholders.
- Work with health professionals and local partner organisations to receive and manage non-medical referrals from the local community.
- Actively participate in community events, meetings and local initiatives.
- Monitor the progress of the project and assess its outcomes.
- Collect and analyse attendance, referral, feedback and impact data.
- Prepare reports to demonstrate the project’s impact and inform future planning.
- Work collaboratively with the wider John White Community Centre team and its partner organisations.

Key Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Experience of planning and delivering community groups, activities or projects.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- The ability to work productively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- A professional, approachable and supportive manner.
- The ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries when working with members of the community, including children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Knowledge of community-based, non-medical support and referral pathways would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week. Flexible working will be required, including occasional evenings and weekends to support community activities, meetings and events.
The position is subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including references and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
