We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to be part of a team which is at the forefront of developments in the NHS.
We are looking for a Community Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Christchurch and Bournemouth Intermediate Care team (CBIC).
We are a team of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners and Community Rehabilitation Assistants. We are able to offer flexible working options including compressed working days within our 8am-8pm service over 7 days per week.
The team works to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, enable earlier discharges from hospital and provide acute rehabilitation for a wide variety of conditions. The team is integral to the Dorset Healthcare Frailty Hospital at Home service and the successful candidate will be working within this service regularly as part of their remit. The team's caseload comprises a wide variety of medical problems including orthopaedic, cardiac, neurological, respiratory and multi pathology.

The role will include delivering a high standard of rehabilitation-focussed care to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will be expected to facilitate independence of patients' functional abilities by implementing re-education and adaptation of tasks under the guidance of qualified staff. The successful candidate would also be expected to undertake training to be able to carry out clinical skills such as venepuncture and ECGs.
Completion of the Care Certificate is necessary for this.
