We’re looking for a proactive and confident Community Safety Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis until the 31st October 2027. This role plays a key part in helping us create safer neighbourhoods by tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting residents, and working closely with partners to resolve community safety concerns.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing community safety cases, including reports of anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes, and environmental concerns.
- Working directly with residents to investigate issues, agree actions, and provide clear updates throughout each case.
- Using a range of interventions to resolve problems, including warnings, agreements, referrals, and legal remedies where appropriate.
- Carrying out visits, interviews, and risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding and personal safety are always prioritised.
- Working closely with internal teams and external partners such as the police, local authorities, and support agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Keeping accurate case records, preparing reports, and contributing to performance monitoring and service improvement.

What we’re looking for
- Experience working in community safety, housing management, ASB, enforcement, or a similar frontline role.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging conversations calmly and professionally.
- Confidence working independently, managing a varied caseload, and making sound decisions.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and health & safety when working in the community.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- A flexible approach, including willingness to work occasional evenings where required.
- Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel independently).

Additional information
The successful applicant will be required to complete a basic DBS check due to the nature of the role and contact with residents.
