Community Safety Specialist (ASB & Domestic Abuse) – Make Communities Safer and Stronger

Are you experienced in anti-social behaviour (ASB), community safety or tenancy enforcement? Do you have the confidence to manage complex casework, build strong partnerships and support customers affected by community safety issues? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Community Safety Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering a proactive, customer-focused community safety service. You'll manage a varied caseload of ASB and domestic abuse cases, working closely with residents, colleagues, the police, local authorities and legal partners to resolve issues and improve neighbourhood safety.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage a caseload of medium and high-risk ASB and community safety cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Work with residents, partner agencies and legal teams to investigate cases and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Prepare legal documentation, witness statements and court papers, attending hearings where required.
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on community safety matters, risk assessments and enforcement options.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to prevent and resolve community safety issues and improve outcomes for residents.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience managing ASB, domestic abuse, tenancy enforcement or community safety casework.
  • Strong knowledge of ASB legislation, enforcement tools, safeguarding and best practice interventions.
  • Excellent investigation, problem-solving and case management skills.
  • The ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders and communicate confidently with a wide range of audiences.
  • A highly organised and customer-focused approach, with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing complex community safety or ASB cases.
  • Strong understanding of relevant housing and ASB legislation.
  • Experience preparing legal documentation and supporting legal action where required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate case records and reports.
