About the role

Are you an experienced community safety professional with a passion for leading teams, working in partnership and making a real difference to local communities? If so, find your greatness by joining us as a Community Safety Team Leader.

The Community Safety Team plays a key role in creating safer communities across Central Bedfordshire, tackling issues such as anti-social behaviour, serious violence, vulnerability, exploitation and environmental crime. As the Community Safety Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of the Community Safety Team, ensuring the effective delivery of community safety priorities, statutory duties and service objectives. You will support and develop staff, manage performance, and help deliver positive outcomes for residents.

You will oversee the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Case Review process, ensuring statutory requirements are met and that victims receive a coordinated and effective response. You will also lead on issues relating to cuckooing, working with partner agencies to identify vulnerable residents and coordinate safeguarding interventions. Working closely with Bedfordshire Police, Fire and Rescue Service, housing providers and other partners, you will help develop effective responses to community safety issues across the area. You will use intelligence, performance information and local knowledge to identify emerging trends, support decision-making and ensure resources are targeted effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
