Community Services Manager

Location: Poringland, Norfolk (with travel as required)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday between 08:00 – 18:00

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the role, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.

About You:

As our Community Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our community services are delivered to the highest quality, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements.

  • You will lead a team of Community Care Managers, Night Manager, and a Community Resource Officer to ensure that we deliver rapid, high-quality care to children and young people in urgent, and often, complex situations.
  • You will also act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and ensure that safeguarding is at the core of all decisions made.

Requirements:

To apply for our Community Services Manager role, you will need:

  • Level 5 or above qualification in Leadership and Management within Health and Social Care, Children and Young People's Services, Adult Care or another directly relevant discipline; or demonstrable equivalent senior management experience with a commitment to completing an appropriate qualification where required. (Essential)
  • At least 5 years of experience in working within Children’s Social Care, or similar regulated environments, with experience of managing a team
  • Significant and demonstratable experience in care planning and risk assessments for multiple children, and young people, with varying challenging behaviours
  • Experience as either a DSL or Deputy DSL
  • Experience liaising with local authorities and commissioners and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)

About the Community Services Team

JMR Healthcare’s Crisis Management Services (CMS) Team delivers rapid, high-quality care to children and young people in urgent or complex situations. The postholder will maintain strong operational oversight across JMR Healthcare Community Services, including community support, crisis and stabilisation services, and agency services with possible expansion of service lines into community-based support.
