What you need to know
- Hours: 35 per week.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with evening and weekend work as required.
- Duty contact system: Operated on a rota basis, more information on this will be provided at interview.
- Contract type: Permanent
- Location: City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview.
What you’ll do
As a Community Services Supervisor, you’ll be a part of an established team, reporting to the Libraries & Communities Officer. You’ll play an essential role in the operational management of community centres operated by Glasgow Life. You will be responsible for the operational management, health and safety compliance, colleague management, service offer and audience development of a number of venues within the city. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:
- Supporting our communities
- Helping people get active
- Creating cultural experiences
- Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

We’re looking for:
- Experience of operational management of premises
- Good ICT skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to work on a flexible pattern of hours including weekend and evenings
- Be able to work in locations within a hub and across the City.
