About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who wants to start a career in community health, physical activity, or wellbeing and gain hands-on experience while completing an apprenticeship qualification.

To gain hands-on experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating physical activity and community engagement while completing a recognized apprenticeship in Sport and Health. The role supports the approach by assisting community-led activities, gathering insight, supporting behavior-change initiatives, and helping deliver programmes shaped by local needs, particularly in communities experiencing the highest inequalities.

Responsibilities

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Community engagement and activation
  • Learning and behaviour change
  • Insight gathering and local intelligence
  • Supporting volunteers and CYP pathways

Eligibility

This apprenticeship is part-funded and supported by Coach Core's charitable programme, creating employment opportunities for 16–24-year-olds who have faced barriers to education, employment, or career progression. We support young people with the potential to succeed who may have experienced financial disadvantage, additional learning needs, caring responsibilities, or other personal or socio-economic challenges.

No previous experience is required – we're looking for enthusiasm, potential, and a willingness to learn. Coach Core provides additional support throughout the apprenticeship, while the employer is responsible for the final recruitment decision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
