About The Role
North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a motivated and organised Community Sports Facilities Coordinator to play a leading role in the management, development and promotion of community access to sports pitches, courts and associated facilities across the area.
This is a 4 year fixed term position working within the Communities and Leisure Service, you will coordinate the day-to-day operation of sports facilities, including bookings, pitch allocations, inspections, administration and invoicing, ensuring facilities are safe, well-maintained and effectively utilised.
The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with sports clubs, leagues, schools, town and parish councils, national governing bodies and community organisations to maximise participation in sport and physical activity. You will support the development and implementation of community use agreements, help resolve facility access issues and work collaboratively to ensure facilities meet the needs of local communities.
You will also undertake regular inspections of pitches and ancillary facilities, monitor quality and playability standards, and support the planning and delivery of seasonal maintenance programmes, renovations and remedial works. Through effective partnership working and facility management, you will contribute to the Council's wider health, wellbeing and active communities objectives.

What will you be doing?
In This Varied And Rewarding Role, You Will Be
- Coordinating bookings and allocations for sports pitches and facilities.
- Building strong relationships with clubs, schools, councils and community groups.
- Supporting community use agreements and shared-use arrangements.
- Carrying out facility inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
- Monitoring facility usage and identifying opportunities to increase participation.
- Supporting funding applications and facility improvement projects.
- Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a key point of contact for users.

About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about community sport and can build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
You'll be a proactive and customer-focused individual and ideally, you will also have experience within the leisure sector, facilities management, community use agreements or sports development, although this is not essential.
You Will Have
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience working with partners, stakeholders or community organisations.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A flexible, solution-focused approach and the ability to manage a varied workload.
- An understanding of health and safety within public facilities.
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel across North Northamptonshire are essential.
