Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference within your local community? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join our Adult Nursing Services team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients in their own homes and community settings. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes and promoting independence. You will provide skilled nursing interventions, support patients and families through all stages of care, and play a key role in delivering responsive and effective community services. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Full Time, Permanent
- You will be based in East Dunbartonshire HSCP
- Working Pattern: 5 days over 7 including day shift and back shift
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and clinical interventions to patients within the community setting
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care programmes in partnership with patients, families and carers
- Support patients to maintain independence, wellbeing and optimum health outcomes
- Manage and prioritise your workload effectively while responding to both planned and unplanned care needs
- Contribute to clinical governance activities including risk assessment, incident reporting, audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor students, newly qualified nurses and junior team members within the service
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, statutory services and voluntary agencies to co-ordinate patient care and discharge planning

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required to Do the Job:
- Current NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant nursing experience with the ability to provide skilled clinical care within a community environment
- Evidence of continuing professional development and revalidation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, carers and colleagues
- Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and make sound clinical decisions within your scope of practice
- Demonstrable leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
- IT skills including the use of electronic records systems, email and digital communication tools for effective patient care and service delivery
