An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Communities and Operational Housing Service for a Community Support Team Leader.
Working alongside the Resident Support Team Leader and reporting to the Community and Resident Support Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the review of the Health and Wealth Building Strategy and the promotion of and investment in the associated fund.
Following a review of the community service, you will design and lead on a programme of work that ensures a sustainable approach to working with the community and voluntary sector to support new and existing communities, those seeking refuge as well as ensuring we retain the DAHA accreditation and raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Alongside this, you will oversee the management of the Mobile Home Park and ensure that it continues to deliver an excellent service to its residents.
About The Role
The Community Support Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operational activity of the Community Team. Operating as an existing offer, you will work with your team to build capacity in the community and voluntary sector to help build more resilient communities for the future.
Having recently launched the Community Health and Wealth Building Fund, you will take this opportunity to review the associated strategy and lead on a promotions campaign that raises awareness of the projects funded to date and aims to draw in more funding. You will monitor performance of the team, funded projects and report data in relation to the linked KPIs. Recognising the value of partnership working, you will collaborate with a range of partners as well as monitor funding agreements. With a clear plan of work for the team, you will have the flexibility to respond to need and issues as they arise.

You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with partner agencies, monitor and manage performance and ensure that the team remains motivated and enthusiastic despite the challenges that may arise. You will work well on your own as well as part of a team and have a track record of applying for and securing funding and or contracts.
Prioritising and understanding performance, you will monitor closely and report on a number of performance measures, as well as having experience of managing poor performance or when a project or initiative is not working well. Confident when speaking to others, you will write and present reports at a variety of groups and meetings as well as committee meetings.
Flexible and adaptive, you will have the ability to travel across the district to attend meetings as well as cover provision in times of staff absence.
A DBS check will be required at appointment.
