The Vacancy
Join Amplius as a Community Support Worker and help provide vital housing support to our customers in supported accommodation. You’ll help people live independently with dignity, promoting wellbeing and respecting their individual needs through personalised support plans and established policies.
Salary: £28,040.46 per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Sunday, between 8am and 10pm on a rolling rota
Location: Scheme based – Peterborough

Snapshot of your role
- Provide person-centred, housing-related support to help customers build confidence and independence.
- Work as a key worker, developing and reviewing support plans and risk assessments with customers.
- Help customers manage their tenancy, including rent, utilities, repairs and maintaining their home.
- Build positive relationships and encourage wellbeing, social inclusion and community involvement.
- Work with partner agencies to coordinate effective support and help customers achieve their goals.
- Keep accurate records, reports and support plans, monitoring progress and outcomes.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety and equality, while managing risks appropriately.

What We’re Looking For
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, alongside good IT skills.
- Experience providing person-centred support in housing, homelessness or a similar setting.
- An understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing and the challenges faced by people with different support needs.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build positive, non-judgemental relationships.
- Good organisation and administration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Important – Enhanced DBS clearance, full UK drivers’ licence, access to your own vehicle, and right to work in the UK are essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
