What we do
We are there for people facing homelessness, housing instability, and hardship across coastal and rural communities—where support is often the hardest to find.
You are Needed
We believe everyone has something valuable to offer. As a volunteer for Needed Foundation, no matter your background, schedule, or experience level, there is a place for you here.
Our Community Volunteers are the heart of Needed.org. Roles can be tailored based on your availability, interests, and strengths. Whether you have two hours a month or five hours a week, and whether you prefer hands-on tasks, working online from home, or connecting with people directly, we will match you with opportunities that fit your lifestyle.
How You Can Help
Because our needs are constantly evolving, volunteers can plug into a wide variety of activities, including:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
