Job Introduction

Centre Operations & Development Manager

Help us build a thriving community hub where everyone feels welcome, connected and able to get involved.

CommunityWorks is looking for an enthusiastic, capable and community-minded Centre Operations & Development Manager to help us develop our Centre into a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive hub at the heart of the local neighbourhood.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about communities, enjoys bringing people together and has the skills, energy and initiative to turn ideas into action.

About the role

Working closely with the CommunityWorks CEO, you will play a key role in the effective day-to-day running of the Centre, while also helping to shape its future development. You will have the autonomy to take ideas forward, build relationships, develop activities and create opportunities that respond to the needs and aspirations of local people.

You will provide line management and support to our facility staff, including the Caretaker, Cook and Cleaner, and work collaboratively with the wider CommunityWorks team and partners.

A key part of the role will also be leading and developing activities for young people, as well as working alongside the CEO to develop and deliver programmes that strengthen community engagement and create positive opportunities for local residents.

Hours: 18 to 21 hours per week

Period of employment: This post is initially funded for two years (with possible extension subject to funding)

Holiday: 5 weeks per annum + public holidays

Salary: £36,750 per annum – pro rata (Cost of living pay award pending)
