We operate a group of companies within the health and social care sector, where strong financial control, statutory compliance and accurate reporting are essential.

This is not a purely supervisory role.

We are looking for an experienced accountant who is comfortable getting directly involved in the accounts, resolving issues, preparing statutory and management information, managing inter-company relationships and dealing confidently with HMRC, auditors and statutory requirements.

The role reports to the Group Head of Finance and the CEO.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for areas including:

  • Statutory accounts and year-end preparation
  • Group accounting across multiple legal entities
  • Inter-company accounts, reconciliations, loans and recharges
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Corporation Tax
  • VAT returns and VAT compliance
  • PAYE and payroll accounting
  • National Insurance liabilities
  • CIS accounting and returns where applicable
  • HMRC correspondence, enquiries and compliance
  • Companies House financial filing requirements
  • Audit preparation and management of external auditor queries
  • Cash flow and financial reporting
  • Accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting
  • Investigation and correction of accounting discrepancies
  • Supporting budgeting and financial planning
  • Maintaining strong financial records and audit trails
  • Supporting the Board with accurate and timely financial information

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
