Role: Company Accountant
As a Company Accountant, you will handle the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately. From managing budgets to preparing reports, you'll play a key role in keeping the business on track financially.
Client Details
This vital role involves overseeing the company's financial health by managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making and foster financial stability across all departments.
Description
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Preparing and submitting Company VAT returns.
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and Year End Accounts.
- Utilise Sage 50 to record and reconcile financial data accurately.
- Maintaining and reviewing customer credit terms and monitoring cash flow.
- Running monthly profit analysis to ensure correct invoicing procedures are met.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Working closely with the MD to assist with any commercial matters as they arise.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in financial management and software utilisation.

Profile
A successful Company Accountant should have:
- A strong background in accounting and finance within a similar industry.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, specifically Sage 50.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
- Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly.

Job Offer
- Salary between £40,000 and £45,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- 35-hour working week for a balanced schedule.
