The Role
As an HGV Driver (Class 2), you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of Heidelberg Materials UK products. You will represent our business on customer sites, ensuring every delivery is completed to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.

This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to operate specialist vehicles and support customers across different locations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely, efficiently, and courteously to customers.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
- Accurately complete vehicle and transport documentation in line with legal and company requirements.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, Working Time Directive regulations, and Road Transport legislation.
- Ensure environmental procedures are followed regarding waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions.
- Maintain excellent attendance and reliability standards.
- Operate specialist vehicles, including:
- Walking Floor
- Rolling Floor
- Tipper
- Concrete Mixer
- Support operational requirements through flexibility in working locations and occasional overnight stays where customer demand requires.
- Undertake additional training and compliance checks to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Follow site safety rules and procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional overnight stays away from home.
- Willingness to undertake additional training, including customer-specific requirements and background checks where necessary.
- Experience operating specialist vehicles is advantageous, although training may be provided.
