The Opportunity

We are working with an established professional services organisation looking to appoint an Assistant Manager within its UK Entity Management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced company secretarial professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility for client delivery, team supervision and technical oversight.

The successful candidate will manage the delivery of company secretarial and governance services across a portfolio of high-profile corporate and institutional clients, while supporting and developing more junior members of the team.

The position forms an important part of the team’s succession and development strategy, making it particularly suited to someone looking to progress towards a more senior management position.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will:

  • Manage a portfolio of UK entities, ensuring a consistently high standard of company secretarial and governance support.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted working relationships.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Consultants and Senior Consultants.
  • Review work produced by junior team members and ensure appropriate quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage team workflows, priorities and day-to-day delivery.
  • Support the training, mentoring and development of junior colleagues.
  • Undertake line management responsibilities, including performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Maintain and oversee statutory books and electronic corporate records.
  • Prepare and submit relevant statutory filings with Companies House.
  • Advise clients on routine statutory compliance requirements, corporate changes and share capital matters.
  • Conduct reviews and health checks of statutory records, including the reconstitution of records where required.
  • Provide practical advice on corporate governance requirements and best practice.
  • Review governance and corporate documentation.
  • Liaise directly with clients, legal advisers and other third parties.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients and assist with KYC-related matters.
  • Ensure accurate time recording, billing and management of work within agreed scope.
  • Contribute towards forecasting, utilisation and wider team performance targets.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services provided to existing clients.
  • Support improvements to internal processes and procedures.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legal, regulatory and governance developments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
