An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Company Secretary to take on a high-profile Governance and Risk leadership role within a globally recognised organisation.

You will lead governance across a complex international portfolio of strategic investments, subsidiaries and joint ventures, while also managing the Risk team and driving the development and implementation of robust risk frameworks across the division.

Working directly with Boards, Executive Leadership and senior stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice and ensure strong governance, risk and compliance practices support effective decision-making and long-term business growth.

What you will do:

  • Lead and enhance governance frameworks across an international investment portfolio
  • Manage and provide leadership to the Risk team
  • Design, implement and continuously enhance enterprise risk frameworks, processes and controls
  • Advise Boards, Directors and executives on governance, risk and statutory obligations
  • Oversee Company Secretarial, Board and Committee activities and statutory records
  • Strengthen governance, risk, compliance and assurance frameworks
  • Support directors across international joint ventures and investments
  • Drive improvements in governance, risk oversight and decision-making
  • Embed a strong culture of risk management, accountability and good governance

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Company Secretary
  • Significant Board and executive-level governance experience
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing risk management frameworks
  • Proven experience leading or managing a Risk function or team
  • Strong background in complex international structures, investments and joint ventures
  • Excellent understanding of governance, enterprise risk and assurance
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic change
  • Experience implementing and embedding governance and risk frameworks across complex organisations
  • Experience with Diligent Entities or similar governance systems is desirable
  • Immediately available or able to start at short notice
