About Kensa
Kensa is a UK clean energy manufacturer on a mission to accelerate the transition to low-carbon heating. We design and deliver heat pump solutions that make a tangible difference to homes and communities. As we continue to scale, we are strengthening our governance capability and are seeking a fractional Company Secretary to support our organisation during this important phase of growth.
About the Role
We are committed to strong governance, transparent decision-making and effective leadership as we scale. To support this, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Company Secretary to strengthen our governance framework and provide high-quality support to our Board.
The Company Secretary will provide essential support by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and upholding high standards of corporate governance.
The role is part-time, requiring approximately two days per month, with additional time at peak periods. Some flexibility around Board and investor cycles will be important to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the organisation complies with the Companies Act 2006 and all other relevant legislation, monitoring any changes in legislation and advising the Board on their implications.
- Maintain statutory registers, ensuring accurate and timely updates across directors, shareholders and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs).
- File statutory documents such as confirmation statements and annual returns with Companies House.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
