At Aztec, we’re committed to building and nurturing a diverse and inclusive workforce where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to grow. We know that different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences strengthen our business and we welcome applications from all individuals. So, if your experience doesn’t exactly match with every part of the job description, but you are excited about the role, we would still like to hear from you. If you are passionate, curious, innovative and data driven, you could still be a good fit.

About the Role

As Compensation Governance & Pay Transparency Lead, you will be responsible for the leadership of a project(s), driving process improvement, operational excellence and contributing towards broader team strategies. You will achieve this through in-depth knowledge of your own discipline, being open-minded and embracing change whilst valuing diverse perspectives and channelling a 'can-do' attitude. You will support business and people growth, assisting with coaching team members, and collaborating across the business to enable Aztec's future ambitions.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Job architecture & pay structures: govern job families, bands, levels and role profiles, and own salary range design — spreads, control points and market positioning — keeping structures defensible and affordable with Finance
  • Benchmarking & market data: own benchmarking and survey matching (WTW, McLagan), assuring quality and producing market insight
  • Pay methodology & total reward: design pay methodology — new-hire positioning, the annual pay review and band-progression programmes — own modelling and review, and advise on the whole remuneration package, including annual and long-term incentives
  • Pay transparency, gender & equal pay: deliver gender pay, equal pay and transparency readiness to the strategy set by the Head of Reward & Performance, recommending remediation with clear evidence
  • Governance & insight: draft and maintain remuneration policy for approval, prepare materials for local boards and colleague forums, produce executive-quality insight and develop the Reward Analyst

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
