About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing global hedge fund, are looking to add a Compensation Specialist to their team. This is a newly created opportunity within a sophisticated compensation function, and will cover their EMEA regions.

The role combines hands-on Compensation activity with analytics, benchmarking and broader projects, supporting processes across the employee lifecycle including new-hire recommendations, annual and ad hoc Compensation reviews, global mobility and employee departures. You will analyse Compensation data to identify trends and opportunities, develop reporting and dashboards, and maintain strong standards of data quality and governance.

Importantly, this is not simply a BAU or administrative Compensation role. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, present analysis and recommendations to managers and influence Compensation decisions across the business. The team is also working on areas including process improvement, technology projects, job architecture and European pay-transparency initiatives, giving the successful candidate a broad and increasingly strategic remit.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
