Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment are representing a leading US law firm in London in their search for a Competition Litigation Associate at NQ-2 years’ PQE to join its growing Competition Litigation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to develop a career in competition litigation, collective actions, and complex commercial disputes, with the chance to work on high-profile and innovative matters before the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).

The team has an established reputation in the collective actions space and is involved in a number of significant competition claims, including complex abuse of dominance, excessive pricing, and digital markets disputes. The practice has particular expertise in consumer redress, group litigation, and securing litigation funding and ATE insurance for large-scale claims.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of work, including:

  • Competition litigation and damages claims;
  • Collective actions and proceedings before the CAT;
  • Abuse of dominance and excessive pricing claims;
  • Competition issues arising from digital markets and technology;
  • Large-scale consumer and SME claims;
  • Litigation funding and ATE insurance;
  • Legal research and analysis on developing areas of competition law;
  • Drafting pleadings, submissions, and other key litigation documents; and
  • Working alongside leading counsel, economists, experts, funders, and other external advisers.

The firm is looking for an NQ-2 PQE solicitor with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in developing a career in competition litigation. Previous experience in competition law, commercial litigation, group litigation, or a related contentious practice would be advantageous, although applications from strong junior lawyers with relevant disputes experience will also be considered.
