Associate – Competition & Antitrust

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Competition Solicitor to join one of the largest and most established Antitrust, Competition & Trade practices in Europe.

Location: London

Salary: Up to £150,000 DoE

PQE: 2+ years PQE

The Role

The role offers genuine breadth across UK and EU competition law, with a balanced mix of transactional, contentious and advisory work. You will advise on competition investigations, merger control, behavioural matters and competition litigation, alongside opportunities to gain exposure to areas including FDI, subsidy control, public procurement, consumer regulation and international trade.

You will work with an impressive client base across sectors including technology, media, life sciences, energy and utilities, with a significant proportion of matters involving an international or cross-border element.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on UK and EU merger control, competition investigations and behavioural matters
  • Supporting complex competition litigation and regulatory mandates
  • Advising on the competition aspects of corporate transactions, including FDI considerations
  • Working on cross-border matters alongside competition specialists internationally
  • Developing expertise across related areas including subsidy control, procurement, consumer and trade law

About You

  • Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years' PQE
  • Strong grounding in UK and/or EU competition law
  • Experience across merger control, investigations, advisory or contentious competition matters
  • FDI experience would be advantageous
