A leading fund house is seeking a Competitive Intelligence & Sales Strategy Manager to join their growing team.

Your opportunity

  • Partner with sales leadership to drive above-industry organic growth by translating market, competitor and client intelligence into actionable commercial opportunities and strategic recommendations.
  • Deliver actionable sales opportunities, client insights, cross-sell opportunities and competitor intelligence to sales teams across priority products and client channels.
  • Act as the business owner for market intelligence within the firm's new in-house sales intelligence platform, ensuring it leverages best-in-class data sources, analytics and AI capabilities to maximise sales opportunity generation.
  • Assess the firm's competitive position across key markets, products and client channels, identifying opportunities, threats and strategic actions to improve market share and organic growth.
  • Lead analyses that inform medium- and long-term business strategy, including recommending priority products, client segments and sales channels based on market opportunity, competitive dynamics and firm capabilities.
  • Manage the collection, validation and analysis of data from various internal and external sources to provide insightful market intelligence, identifying opportunities for growth and areas of risk.
  • Design, develop and oversee the delivery of insightful reports and dashboards to senior management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting key business metrics, market trends and performance indicators.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven approaches to market intelligence, competitor analysis and sales opportunity identification to improve efficiency and commercial outcomes.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, influencing business priorities, product focus areas and distribution strategy.
  • Measure and track the effectiveness of intelligence-driven recommendations and sales opportunity programmes, ensuring continuous improvement and demonstrable business impact.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and best practices, continuously seeking ways to enhance the firm's capabilities and competitive advantage.

  • Significant experience within the asset management industry with an emphasis on Market Intelligence / Sales Strategy.
  • Demonstrated use of AI and emerging technologies to improve commercial insight generation, productivity and decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect data, market trends and competitive intelligence to strategic business decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of insights across sales and leadership teams.
  • Proven track record of translating data and market intelligence into measurable commercial outcomes and business growth.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior executives and producing Board-quality materials.
  • High level of initiative, analytical thinking and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, investment products and client expectations.
  • Ability to make decisions and judgements in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances.
  • Strong team player with the ability to operate and influence at all levels.
  • Experience with industry competitive intelligence data sources including Broadridge, eVestment, Financial Clarity and Morningstar.
  • Advanced analytical and data visualisation skills, with experience using business intelligence and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent.
