About the role
Due to continued growth across our industrial client base, CAMTECH Services is looking for an experienced CompEx Electrician with Control & Instrumentation experience to join our team.
This is a hands-on role working across a varied portfolio of industrial, manufacturing and hazardous-area environments throughout Scotland and occasionally further afield.
We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, takes pride in their work and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider EC&I project team.
Key responsibilities
- Industrial electrical installation and maintenance
- Hazardous-area electrical installation and remedial works
- CompEx inspection and compliance activities
- Control panel and control system installation
- Instrumentation and field-device installation
- Motors, valves, sensors, transmitters and associated equipment
- Cable containment, cabling and termination
- Testing and fault finding
- I/O checking and commissioning support
- Planned shutdown and maintenance activities
- Reading and working from electrical schematics, loop drawings and technical documentation
- Completing work to CAMTECH’s quality and health & safety standards

What we’re looking for
Applicants should be qualified electricians with a strong industrial background.
Essential / preferred experience includes:
- Recognised electrical qualification
- Current CompEx Ex01–Ex04
- Industrial electrical experience
- Experience with control systems and instrumentation
- Ability to read electrical/control drawings
- Testing and fault-finding capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and organisational skills
Additional CompEx modules, inspection & testing qualifications and wider controls/instrumentation experience would be advantageous.
