Complaints Handler
£18.96 per hour
Monday - Friday - Full Time
Based in Brislington, Bristol - hybrid working
Temporary - end of Jan 2027
Tate are working with a local authority in their search for a proactive and detail-oriented Complaints Handler to support a dedicated programme of work responding to housing claims.
You will investigate allegations contained within letters of claim, received from solicitors, by interrogating a range of housing management, repairs, asset management, and customer service systems. You will gather evidence, establish factual timelines, and prepare comprehensive responses to address allegations through their Internal Complaints Procedure (ICP).
Key Responsibilities
- Review housing condition claim documentation and identify specific allegations.
- Conduct detailed investigations using multiple housing management systems.
- Analyse repairs history, complaints records, tenancy information, surveys, and correspondence.
- Engage with operational teams and stakeholders to obtain relevant information.
- Draft clear, accurate, and evidence-based complaint responses.
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure responses are completed within agreed timescales.

About You
- Experience handling complex complaints, investigations, or casework.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work to tight deadlines.
- Experience within social housing, repairs, complaints, or customer services is desirable.
