Complaints Officer – Remote

Location: Remote, UK

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Salary: £25,000–£30,000 depending on experience

Hours: Flexible working options available

About the Role

Apply4U is hiring on behalf of our client for a Complaints Officer to manage customer complaints and help ensure enquiries are handled professionally, fairly and efficiently.

This is a remote opportunity suited to someone with strong communication, problem-solving and administrative skills. Experience in customer service, complaints handling, administration or a regulated environment would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage customer complaints through email, telephone and online channels
  • Investigate complaints and gather relevant information
  • Maintain accurate records of complaints and outcomes
  • Communicate with customers throughout the complaint process
  • Provide clear and professional written responses
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Identify recurring problems and escalate trends where appropriate
  • Ensure complaints are handled within agreed timescales
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with customer information
  • Prepare reports and updates on complaint activity
  • Follow company procedures and relevant complaint-handling processes

About You

  • Previous experience in complaints, customer service or administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident handling difficult or sensitive conversations
  • Good investigation and problem-solving skills
  • Organised and able to manage multiple cases
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and online systems
  • Professional, patient and customer-focused approach
