Complex Care Assistant – Tracheostomy Care

Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex

Pay: £12.71–£16.00 per hour

Shifts: 12-hour days (8am–8pm) and waking nights (8pm–8am)

HFH Healthcare is looking for compassionate and experienced Complex Care Assistants to support a friendly, sociable gentleman in his own home in Littlehampton.

Our client loves good conversation, has a great sense of humour and enjoys football (especially Arsenal!), cricket, classical music and crime documentaries.

He's looking forward to regaining his confidence and independence, spending time with his family, enjoying his garden and getting back out into the community.

We're looking for someone who will take the time to get to know him, share a laugh and support him to enjoy the things that matter most.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing one-to-one, person-centred care and companionship.
  • Supporting tracheostomy care, suctioning and respiratory management.
  • Assisting with RIG/enteral feeding and medication administration.
  • Supporting personal care, mobility and daily routines.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and community activities.
  • Monitoring wellbeing and recognising changes in health.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in healthcare or complex care.
  • Tracheostomy and suctioning experience desirable.
  • Experience with enteral feeding or respiratory care beneficial.
  • A friendly, patient and sociable personality.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A compassionate, reliable and flexible approach.
  • Above all, we want someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and sees the person beyond their care needs.
