About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and confident Complex Care Nurse to join their team in Redhill.
This is an office and community-based role, providing clinical support and oversight for adults, children, and young people receiving complex care in their own homes and within the community.
You will play an important role in ensuring high standards of clinical care, supporting care staff, assessing new clients, and helping to safely establish and manage complex care packages.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Governance
- Lead on the clinical aspects of care delivery.
- Support the assessment, mobilisation, and implementation of new complex care packages.
- Complete and regularly review clinical risk assessments.
- Provide clinical advice and support with care planning and delivery.
- Liaise with clients, families, MDTs, commissioners, and case managers.
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance and compliance.
- Act as a positive role model and clinical leader.
- Ensure compliance with CQC and internal policies and procedures.
Training & Competency
- Deliver clinical skills training to complex care staff.
- Complete medication competency assessments.
- Oversee and review MAR charts for accuracy and compliance.
- Train and supervise carers undertaking delegated clinical tasks.
- Carry out competency checks, supervisions, and spot checks.
- Support staff to maintain safe and effective clinical practice.

Client Onboarding & Case Management
- Lead the clinical onboarding of new complex care clients.
- Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and risk assessments.
- Support the safe mobilisation of new care packages.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
- Monitor care delivery and review outcomes.
Quality & Safety
- Identify, manage, and escalate clinical risks, incidents, and concerns.
- Promote safe, person-centred care.
- Support safeguarding procedures for adults and children.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and high-quality care delivery.
- Help ensure an excellent experience for clients and their families.
About You
We are looking for a nurse who is confident, organised, and able to work independently while also being an effective team member.
You Will Ideally Have
- An active NMC PIN – Adult, Children’s, or Dual Qualified.
- At least 2 years’ clinical nursing experience, ideally including community or hospital experience.
- Experience in clinical risk management and person-centred care planning.
- Experience of safeguarding adults and children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Confidence in providing training and assessing clinical competencies.
- Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance.
- Good IT and presentation skills.
- The ability to negotiate, influence, escalate concerns, and seek appropriate advice.
- A proactive and positive “can-do” approach.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and person-centred care.
- Recognised teaching qualification or relevant teaching experience is desirable.
- Experience of developing policies, guidelines, and managing resources is desirable.
- Experience of leading or managing change is desirable.

Driving Requirement
A valid UK driving licence and access to a car is highly desirable, as the role involves travel within the community. However, alternative travel arrangements may be considered.
