Our Vacancy

Complex Case Technical Lead (Mechanical & Electrical)

At Peabody, resident safety comes first. We're looking for two Complex Case Technical Leads (Mechanical & Electrical) to lead the investigation and resolution of some of our most complex, high-risk and high-profile building services and compliance challenges across our homes and communities.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced M&E professional to use their technical expertise to solve complex problems, protect residents and influence decisions at a senior level. Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and contractors, you'll take ownership of escalated cases, identify root causes, challenge technical solutions and drive lasting improvements across our housing portfolio.

These are hybrid roles, with minimum 2 days per week based in our Waterloo office, alongside home working and occasional site visits as required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the investigation and resolution of complex and escalated M&E cases.
  • Identifying root causes and delivering sustainable solutions.
  • Managing technical, compliance and resident safety risks.
  • Challenging contractor recommendations and driving accountability.
  • Supporting compliance with Awaab's Law and building safety requirements.
  • Providing technical expertise and advice to senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
