Your new company

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded national law firm with a strong reputation in defendant insurance litigation. The firm acts on behalf of major insurers, corporates and public sector organisations, handling a broad range of high-value and technically challenging personal injury matters. With continued growth in its Complex Injury practice, the team is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to support the management of significant claims and play a key role in the development of junior lawyers.

Your new role

You will join a specialist Complex Injury team undertaking a mix of catastrophic and high-value personal injury claims, acting predominantly for insurer and corporate clients. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers and partners on complex matters while also maintaining responsibility for your own caseload.

The work will include:

  • Managing a caseload of complex defendant personal injury claims, including employers' liability, public liability and catastrophic injury matters.
  • Running high-value and multi-track litigation from inception through to resolution.
  • Advising clients on liability, causation, quantum, policy coverage and indemnity issues.
  • Developing case strategies and providing commercially focused legal advice.
  • Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts and other stakeholders.
  • Attending conferences, mediations, joint settlement meetings and court hearings where required.
  • Supporting partners on catastrophic injury and other complex, high-value claims.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through the delivery of exceptional service.
  • Assisting with supervision, mentoring and development of junior team members.
  • Contributing to business development activities and strengthening existing client relationships.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, court deadlines and internal procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
