Location: Staffordshire and Stoke
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £27,751.12 – £29,942.50

We are looking for a compassionate, confident and motivated Complex Needs Practitioner – Gambling to join our dedicated team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills and experience to support individuals experiencing gambling-related harm and the wider challenges that can often accompany it. Working in a person-centred and recovery-focused way, you will empower people to reduce risk, build resilience, improve their wellbeing and achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.
About the Role
As a Complex Needs Practitioner (Gambling), you will manage your own caseload and provide high-quality, holistic support to individuals experiencing gambling-related needs.
Working flexibly across the community and within multi-agency partnership settings, you will engage people through outreach and deliver tailored interventions based on their individual circumstances, strengths and goals.
Gambling-related harm can affect every area of a person's life. As part of this role, you may support individuals with issues including:
- Gambling-related harm and recovery
- Mental and emotional wellbeing
- Physical health
- Family and relationship difficulties
- Domestic abuse
- Exploitation and safeguarding
- Housing and financial difficulties
- Employment and education
- Social isolation
- Substance misuse and other associated behaviours
- Engagement with health, social care and rehabilitation services

You will work alongside individuals to identify their needs, reduce risk and develop practical strategies that support positive change and long-term recovery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage a diverse caseload of individuals experiencing gambling-related harm and complex needs.
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with service users and, where appropriate, their families.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, care plans, reviews and aftercare support.
- Deliver appropriate psychosocial and person-centred interventions to address gambling-related needs.
- Develop personalised, strengths-based support and recovery plans focused on meaningful outcomes.
- Identify, assess and manage risk, including safeguarding concerns.
- Provide harm-reduction interventions and promote resilience, independence and wellbeing.
- Explore and address the wider impact of gambling, including financial, family, employment, housing, physical and emotional health issues.
- Support individuals to access appropriate healthcare, social care, housing, employment, education and community services.
- Advocate for service users and help remove barriers to accessing appropriate support.
- Work closely with voluntary and statutory agencies, health professionals and other partner organisations.
