Company Description
Physio Matters Neurological Ltd provides specialist physiotherapy services for people with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as individuals recovering from complex polytrauma. The team delivers care through home visits across Greater Manchester and in-clinic sessions in a purpose-built physiotherapy space. Physio Matters also collaborates with solicitors and case managers to support clients in Merseyside, Lancashire, and West Yorkshire. The service is focused on personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation that enables people to regain function, independence, and confidence.
Role Description
This part-time Complex Trauma Physiotherapist role is based in Royton with a hybrid working arrangement, combining in-clinic sessions, community visits, and some work from home for administrative tasks and virtual consultations. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assessing individuals with complex trauma presentations
- Developing and implementing rehabilitation plans
- Delivering hands-on physiotherapy and exercise-based interventions
- Monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and documenting clinical notes and reports to a high professional standard
- Communicating regularly with clients, families, and multidisciplinary stakeholders such as case managers and solicitors to coordinate care and contribute to case conferences and outcome reviews
- Maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge, participating in service development, and supporting best practice in complex trauma rehabilitation

Qualifications

- Recognized degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC registration (or eligibility), with post-qualification experience in neurological, musculoskeletal, or complex trauma rehabilitation.
- Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation for complex trauma, including mobility, functional, and pain management interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners such as solicitors and case managers.
- Ability to work autonomously across clinic, community, and home settings, manage a part-time caseload, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and reports.
- Commitment to person-centered care, safeguarding, and professional ethics, with ongoing engagement in continuing professional development and reflective practice.
- Experience or interest in community-based physiotherapy, medico-legal or case-managed work, and use of digital tools for virtual consultations and record keeping.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community visits in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas is highly beneficial.
